The Toronto racetrack will resume racing Thursday, Sept. 7. Woodbine's racing office said it will endeavor to make up for the canceled races over the next several cards.

The King's Plate day card Aug. 20 at Woodbine generated the largest single-card handle in the Toronto track's history.

Woodbine Entertainment announced Aug. 2 that it has appointed longtime leading standardbred owner and breeder Brad Grant, and Canadian sports business executive Scott Mitchell to its board of directors as well as Mark Saunders being re-elected.

Elysian Field, under Sahin Civaci, unleashed a spirited stretch run to take all the spoils in the 68th running of the $500,000 Woodbine Oaks July 23 at Woodbine.

Mohawk Trail was full of run late to take the CA$150,000 Ontario Colleen Stakes (G3T) July 22. Loyalty put on another stellar showing in the CA $150,000 Hendrie Stakes (G3). Both races were at Woodbine.

Trainer Kevin Attard will have four chances to win his third straight CA$500,000 Woodbine Oaks, one of four stakes on an 11-race card July 23 at Woodbine. 

Last year's U.S. champion 2-year-old filly, Wonder Wheel, will be looking to revitalize a subpar sophomore campaign when she makes her local debut in the June 29 Selene Stakes (G3) at Woodbine.

Multiple-stakes winner One Timer invades Woodbine for a chance to capture his second graded victory there in the June 1 CA$200,000 Highlander Stakes (G2T).

NBS Stable's Mohawk Trail made her first start at Woodbine a winning one after taking the June 25 $100,000 Alywow Stakes in impressive fashion.
